Germany
Where every journey becomes a story
Discover Germany
Germany is a blend of culture, medieval charm, modern energy, and unforgettable experiences. I began my journey in Munich, made my way to Stuttgart, explored the fairytale town of Esslingen, and returned to Munich before leaving. Every moment was full of celebration, history, friendship, and the vibrant spirit of EURO 2024.
Stories From Germany
Munich — Bavaria’s Vibrant & Friendly Capital
Munich is lively, beautiful, and full of character. The city was electrifying because it was the opening of the UEFA tournament in Germany — flags everywhere, fans singing, streets alive with energy. I met a few girls from my hostel, and we went for dinner at Augustiner Bräu München, one of the oldest and most iconic breweries in Germany. The atmosphere was unforgettable — wooden halls, huge beer steins, Bavarian dishes, and football excitement in the air.
Train to Stuttgart — Friendship, Football & New Adventures
The next day, I took a scenic and comfortable train ride to Stuttgart to meet a friend who invited me to stay at her home. Germany’s trains are fast, clean, and efficient — the perfect way to travel.
Esslingen — Medieval Streets, Vineyards & Kessler Wine
My friend drove me to Esslingen, her hometown. Esslingen looks like a fairytale — half-timbered houses, stone bridges, cobblestone alleys, and vineyards covering the hills. We visited the famous Kessler winery, Germany’s oldest sparkling wine producer, and enjoyed a glass of Kessler wine in a historic vaulted cellar. Afterwards, we walked around the beautifully preserved medieval buildings — every corner felt picture-perfect.
BMW Museum — Innovation, Engineering & Futuristic Design
The BMW Museum in Munich is a masterpiece of modern architecture. The silver, curved building looks futuristic, and the exhibits inside showcase BMW's entire legacy — from classic vintage models to luxury cars, motorcycles, cutting-edge concept vehicles, engines, racing history, and interactive design spaces. It feels like walking through the evolution of engineering excellence. A must-see for car lovers and design enthusiasts.
Dinner at Weinstube Klösterle
Before heading to the city for the big match, we had dinner at Weinstube Klösterle — a cozy traditional German wine tavern with rustic interiors and delicious local dishes. It was warm, intimate, and the food was perfect.
EURO 2024 — Stuttgart Palace Square Celebration
We took a tram to Stuttgart Palace Square (Schlossplatz), which was filled with thousands of fans. A massive screen stood in front of the palace, and the entire square was glowing with excitement. People cheered, waved flags, and celebrated together as Germany played. After the win, the city erupted in joy. We went to a club afterwards to celebrate the victory with my German friends — the energy was incredible.
Back to Munich — Exploring the City Once More
I returned to Munich the next day and explored some of its iconic spots: Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, the Englischer Garten, Frauenkirche, and the charming old-town streets. Munich is a city full of culture, art, and history, blending Bavarian traditions with modern life beautifully.
